It is hard to find a New Mexican who doesn’t love Autumn. Two of the best events bring in Fall with a roar. The Cottonwoods change from green to gold, and the roar of roasting chile fills the air at every grocery store and farmer’s market; restocking of New Mexico residents’ freezers to their maximum capacity with this year’s batch green chile. The other event is short in duration, but the roar can be deafening. The 2016 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is preparing for mass ascension this Saturday. Albuquerque residents will spy bees, cows, Darth Vader, Yoda, goldfish, SpiderPig, stagecoaches and other shapes and sizes of hot air balloons in a kaleidoscope of colors floating through town.
For two weeks a year Sage providers and clients get front row seats to Albuquerque in flight. Consider yourself lucky if you have an appointment or need to drop by our pharmacy between October 1st- 9th, you’re in for a show. Do note that traffic this time near the Balloon Fiesta Park and consequently us, is going to be much more congested allow plenty of travel time.
