What is a Community Access Clinic?
The Community Access Clinic at Sage Neuroscience Center proudly offers low-cost counseling services to individuals in our community facing financial hardship or health insurance deficits.
How it Works
The Community Access Clinic is able to maintain lower counseling fees by staffing masters-level Mental Health Counseling and Clinical Social Work student interns.
Fees range from $10 to $45, based on individual client needs.
All Counselors/Social Workers-in-Training are supervised by independently licensed providers who hold masters-level students to the highest clinical standards. Our interns undergo a rigorous selection and training process that helps to ensure only the most qualified individuals are providing care at Sage Neuroscience Center.
Sage Neuroscience Center prides itself on being a teaching clinic. Because of its meticulous training process, the competent and diverse team of interns at the Community Access Clinic is equipped to handle a myriad of mental health conditions including depression, general anxiety, bipolar disorders, PTSD, and substance use issues. We offer services to individuals of all ages, couples, and families.
Length of Services
Because the Community Access Clinic is staffed by students-in-training, counseling services are limited in time with each intern. Services typically range from 6 months to 1 year. Depending on individual needs, clients may be transferred to another member of the professional team of interns that represent the level of personal care for which Sage Neuroscience is known.
Interested parties can call the main Sage Neuroscience Clinic phone number, 505-884-1114, or and ask to be seen in our Community Access Clinic. As part of the initial screening process, you will be asked to fill out paperwork to assess therapeutic appropriateness, and then scheduled with an intern. Call today to make an appointment!
