This group has a multi-purpose. Please ask yourself the following questions:
- Do I feel isolated or alone — possibly by choice, or perhaps due to other factors such as finances or chronic pain?
- Might I benefit from a weekly support group with emphasis upon getting acquainted and opening up to, and helping others with similar problems, in a safe, loving, therapeutic environment?
- Would I like to learn new coping and communication skills?
- What thoughts and ideas do I have about what this group might become? What personal goals would I bring to it? What can I offer? What might I gain?
If these questions appeal to you, please fill out the application form below. We meet on Fridays, 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm, starting May 3rd. We’ll need to verify insurance coverage, but your cost would be no more than your usual co-pay.
Born in the midwest from a blue collar family, reading disability, poor student, high school drop-out, bipolar traits, ex steel mill and construction worker, but he managed to work his way through college and then moved onto many things: inventing new products, research in physics, college teaching, community organizing in low income neighborhoods, and then psychotherapy for the past 20 years. Dave is a strong believer in the stories we tell ourselves, and how we can shape them to improve our lives and those of others.
