Relapse Prevention Group
The Relapse Prevention group is a 12 week/12 session in-person program focused on reinforcing healthy coping strategies. The curriculum utilizes the Community Reinforcement Approach (CRA) among other Evidence Based Practice, and gives the participant the opportunity to develop skills toward the attainment of individual goals. It is ideal for clients who have been able to interrupt their substance use and need support to maintain the lifestyle change. The group meets once a week and is ideal for those who may not require the increased structure of Intensive Outpatient treatment, and who would benefit from recovery oriented support. Individuals must be assessed by a therapist for placement in the Relapse Prevention group and may also be recommended for addictions medicine or individual substance counseling depending on the client’s treatment needs.
