More and more of us are finding ourselves in the role of providing care for aging parents, a critically ill loved one, friend or partner. As daily care continues, we often find ourselves tired, running on empty, impatient, sad, and sometimes resentful towards well-wishing family or friends.
Because there is an increase in the number of people providing care, we are also experiencing an increase in emotional and physical fatigue. This is commonly referred to as compassion fatigue resulting in chronic stress.
A Group for Caregivers
If you are a caregiver, experiencing any of these symptoms of fatigue or stress, please consider joining our group. This group will focus on support, resources, and ideas for self-care and managing chronic stress. We will also delve into feelings of sadness and look at the “what if’s” of life.
