Are you a Woman Living with Trauma?
- Facilitated by: Julie Rosen
- Weekly, Mondays 3:45 – 5:15 pm
- Insurance coverage or $30 self-pay.
What is trauma? How is my current depression, my anxiety, my anger, my fear, my panic, my isolation, my…. related to the trauma I experienced so long ago (or just recently)? How can I make sense of what happened to me and really put it behind me? These are questions many people who have experienced trauma often ask themselves. This Women and Trauma Group is being offered at Sage Neuroscience Center to offer a place for women to come together to talk about some of these questions and explore the answers together.
At each session, an educational topic will be presented, and topics will include: what is PTSD, identifying and coping with triggers, self-care, body memories, sleep hygiene, anger and rage, and many more. Participants are welcome to bring suggestions for topics that they would like to learn more about.
Also at each session, there will time for participants to provide support to one another in a safe and supportive environment. Trauma survivors often feel alone and isolated; it is difficult to feel safe enough to share feelings and share stories. This group will provide space for participants to share with one another as they feel safe and comfortable in doing so.
